Moxie Road Productions

founded in 2017 by Janine Kovac and writer/performer/social media strategist Tarja Parssinen

Tarja and Janine met in 2015 through the 501(c)(3) nonprofit writing group Write on Mamas. Their first collaboration was directing and producing the San Francisco production of Listen To Your Mother. Through the process of essay submissions, auditions, rehearsals, securing sponsorships, and show day, they discovered that they had a shared history of ballet and performing and a shared desire to help women’s stories find their way into the world.

writing wednesdays

Moxie Road offers writing workshops such as our Regenerative Writing Wednesdays, which uses the Amherst Writers and Artists' method to tap into the creative genius within.

The Amherst Writers & Artists’ philosophy is simple: every person is a writer, and every writer deserves a safe environment in which to experiment. AWA workshops follow a proven method that affirms writers by building confidence, creating an atmosphere of equal exploration, and protecting confidentiality.

Tools for the Writers' Life

There's more to being a writer than the writing.

Moxie Road facilitates the Finishing School workshop devised by Cary Tennis and hosts day retreats, provides private social media consultations, publishing advice, project management, and more.
